for their recent state championship: Councilman Byrd moved for adoption of the
resolution, seconded by Councilman Jackson, and approved. A delegation of team

Mayor Gardner made the following announcements:
Mayor Gardner made a report on her participation in the recent U.S. Conference of
Mayors Leadership Meeting which she attended. She also distributed information to
the Council on possible changes in the future on the federal level which could affect i
cities throughout the country. She stated that of special interest was the fact that the � ;;;
unfunded federal mandates bill may be passed at the current legislative session.
Councilman Wrigley moved that the Council take a five-minute recess at this time,
motion was seconded by Councilman Green, and approved. Council recessed at 8:50 • ,, '• '.
