Executive Board Meeting
May 1, 2014
The Executive Board of the Rising TYde Food Pantry met on May 1, 2014, in the lobby
of the YMCA. The Board discussed the use of the upcoming proceeds from the Tybee
Island Tour of Homes in June. The Board unanimously agreed to offer larger quantities
of food to all families who come to the Pantry, beginning this month, May. This may
result in a need for more reusable bags, especially for the clients who walk or are on
bikes. As well, the opportunity to offer toiletries, such as shampoo, soap, toilet tissue,
etc., was discussed.
We reviewed the status of the volunteers and agreed that their consistency and
dependability is very beneficial. The meeting was adjourned after the board visited the
Pantry.
