AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS FOR SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
RELATED TO THE FERRY TERMINAL PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized soil sampling and analysis
services in connection with the Ferry Terminal Project; and
WHEREAS, Hydrographic Surveys, Sewell, New Jersey, possesses the requisite
experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Hydrographic Surveys has submitted a proposal to provide said services, at
a total cost not to exceed $16,250.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal and the Borough
Engineer has recommended the approval of the same; and -
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer h_ as certified that fiords are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Hydrographic Surveys for soil sampling and analysis
services related to the Ferry Terminal Project at a total cost not to exceed
SI6,250.00 is hereby approved.
2. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. The copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Hydrographic Surveys.
Adopted this 16 day of May, 2013
and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 17, 2013.
