AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
JACK O'NEILL FOR CONSULTING SERVICES WITH REGARD TO THE
CARTERET IMARINA PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, (`Borough "), requires expert consulting services
with regard to the proposed Marina project at Carteret Waterfront Park; and
WHEREAS, Jack O'Neill, 5901 Mt. Eagle Dr. Suite 1406, Alexandria, VA 22303, is
uniquely qualified to provide the required expert consulting services associated with the
operation of the proposed Carteret Marina and with regard to the permitting therefore;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough has received a proposal from Jack O'Neill, to provide said
services at a cost not to exceed $15,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal and the Borough
Engineer has recommended the approval of the same; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
The proposal from Jack O'Neill, to provide consulting services in
connection with the Proposed Marina Marine Risk Analysis at
Carteret Waterfront Park in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00 is
hereby approved, and the Borough's Law Director is hereby
authorized to enter into an Agreement with Jack O'Neill in a famr
acceptable to him.
2. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:1.1- 5(1)(a) in accordance with
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and CbiE Associates.
Adopted this 16 day of May, 2013
