A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO ENCORRE SERVICES, INC. AS THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,800.00 FOR THE IMPERIAL HWY'MEDIAN
ISLAND FENCE'IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011 67.916 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Imperial Highway Median Island Fence Improvement Project,
Project No 4011 67 916, is scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2011 =2012,
and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff advertised the project on January 20, 2012; and
'WHEREAS, eleven (11) contractors received project plans and contract
documents, and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the Office of the City Clerk on
February 9, •2012, and the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that
Encorre Services, Inc. was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for its base bid of
$54,800 00; and ,
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Imperial Hwy Median Island Fence
Improvement Project, Project No 4011 67 916 be awarded to Encorre Services, Inc for
its total base bid of $54,800 00 ,
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Encorre Services, Inc
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21 day of February, 2012.
