City of McCall
Airport AdvisoryCommittee
Minutes
March 4, 2010
1. The meeting was opened by the chairman, Walt Lee, at 12:06 p.m. In attendance were
John Anderson (airport manager) and Dan Scott and Eric Hagen (committee members).
Public attendees included Kevin Bissell (T/O), Rik Poston, and Bryan O’Morrow.
2. Dan moved that the committee-meeting minutes from February 4th and 18th be
approved, seconded by Eric Hagen. The motion passed unanimously.
3. Runway & sewer projects:
• T/O’s plans and specifications will be done by the end of March.
• The sewer project is progressing with the runway project.
• Timing is likely to slip, as the Congressional appropriations bill has not yet been
passed. John estimates that the process will not likely be done before May/June.
• The project will therefore most likely be modified, such that the irrigation and
sewage-pipes installation would be done this fall (two weeks during late September
or October), and then the runway reconstruction and resurfacing done next
spring/early summer.
• The possible inclusion of coordinating the addition of a 12” potable water-line
at/near the south end of the runway during the resurfacing project was briefed by
Brian O’Morrow with Kevin Bissell looking into this possibility.
4. Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Building:
• The size would be approximately 40’ (E/W) x 80’ (N/S), with doors on the west,
and the location would be between 336 Deinhard Street and the taxiway.
• A conditional use permit review is scheduled for April 4th, and then a public
hearing will occur at the end of May.
5. The review of the airport’s Minimum Standards continued.
6. The meeting was closed at 2:20 p.m, with the next special AAC meeting for Minimum
Standards scheduled for noon, on March 25th, at City Hall, and the next monthly meeting
set for April 22nd, same time and place.
