Meeting Minutes

Open Discussion and Public Comment
There was no open discussion or public comment.
Approve Minutes from February 5, 2015
A motion was made by Rick Fereday to approve the February 5, 2015 meeting minutes.
Matt Shaddle seconded this motion. The motion passed unanimously.
AIP 021— Land Acquisition Update
Nate Coyle provided an update stating that an executive session was held on February 12,
2015 with City Council to discuss the land acquisition process and to prepare
transmission of revised written offer letters to landowners in mid -March.
Summer Maintenance Project — Phase II
Nate Coyle provided a reminder to the AAC that the final phase of the airport
maintenance project is to apply a second coat of markings to runway and taxiway/apron
surfaces. It was stated that this work would be completed in early June following
completion of routine airport crack filling that will be conducted by the airport. It was
stated that this work would incur a four-hour closure of the runway which would be
coordinated real time among airport users.
Valley County Airport Levy Discussion
During the February 5, 2015 AAC meeting Rick Fereday requested addition of an agenda
item at the next AAC meeting to discuss the Valley County Airport Levy that is allocated
to the airport from Valley County. Nate Coyle presented this agenda bill during the
meeting with a proposal to request assistance from an AAC member to review the
existing levy amount provided to the airport. Rick Fereday volunteered to assist Nate
Coyle with review of this levy. Nate Coyle stated that a follow-up would be provided to
the AAC once the review was complete along with a potential proposal for action, if
deemed appropriate.
AAC Charter Revision Follow -Up
Nate Coyle stated that City Council had approved the posed revisions to the AAC Charter
on February 26, 2015 as recommended by staff and the AAC. A final/approved copy of
the charter was provided to AAC members.
USFS Helicopter Parking Pad Relocation Project
Nate Coyle presented information regarding a pending project to relocated two gravel
helicopter parking pads adjacent to the USFS aircraft parking apron. The two existing pad

currently violate the runway object free area for a B-II airport, and this relocation would
bring the pads into compliance with B-II standards. Dan Scott identified a long term
concern regarding the airport's planning efforts to meet compliance with C-II standards.
It was stated that this relocation would need to be temporary in nature and that a
relocation would need to occur once the airport achieved C-II status.
Airport Lease Rate Analysis — Appraisal Update
Nate Coyle stated that a draft appraisal had been received and that minor changes to the
report were requested before finalizing the report. Nate Coyle stated that a final report
would be sent out prior to the next AAC meeting, and that Joe Corlett and his staff would
attend the subsequent AAC meeting to discuss the report and answer questions.
Airport F1y-In Update (Results of 28 February IAA Meeting)
Nate Coyle stated that he attended a meeting with members of the McCall Chapter of the
IAA on 28 February. During this meeting these members voiced a desire to plan a fly -in
at the airport which contained an open house for public involvement. Nate Coyle stated
that he would assist the group with planning the event, which would be scheduled to
occur on Saturday/August 1' and the morning of Sunday/August 2nd
Airport Spring Staffing Report
Nate Coyle provided an update to the group regarding airport manning for the spring
season. It was stated that the Airport Ops Superintendent/Ben Gau would be out of office
until early May due to an injury but that the airport would have use of its seasonal
equipment operator until Ben's return to work.
