Adjournment to November 6, 1996 �r4.p Commission Minutes For September 4, 1996 The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in session at 6.05 p m. at the Lynwood Community Transit Center, located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Lynwood Chairperson Zavala presided. ROLL CALL Commissioners Zavala, Acosta, McZeal, David & Devin Hampton, Nava, Brown and Gwen Hardin answered roll call Commissioner Mercado and Wroten did not answer roll call. CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA Mark Flores certified the posting of the agenda APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES Approval of the past minutes of September 1996 were moved to be passed at the October Meeting PROGRAM REPORTS Recreation and Community Services Mark Flores reported on upcoming City events including Lynwood's September 16th program as well as the Youth Summitt survey, Red Ribbon Week, Character Counts, Boy Scouts and other September sports events Volunteers were needed for these events GENERAL REPORTS The September 16th program was in need of volunteers Commissioners were'asked to attend one of the event days An update was given on the status of the Youth Commission Council item. Also, Commissioners were informed as to the upcoming Youth Commission Conference, Commissioners Acosta, Zavala, McZeal, Brown and Hardin wished to attend. NEW PROGRAM IDEAS There were no new program ideas Public Orals There were no new public orals Commissioner Orals LI Commissioner Nava resigned citing his attendance at college STAFF ORALS NONE ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Acosta moved that the meeting be adjourned to the next regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and seconded by Commissioner MC Zeal. All in favor Meeting adjourned at 6 45 p.m
