Adjournment to February 7, 1996 r, Commission Minutes For December 6, 1995 0 The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in regular session December 6, 1995 at 6 01 p.m at the Lynwood Community Transit Center, located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Lynwood. Chairperson Zavala presided. ROLL CALL Commissioners Sandoval, Acosta, Espinoza, Hardin, McZeal, G. Hardin, Nava, Wroten and Hampton answered roll call. Commissioners Gregory, Gutierrez did not answer roll call. CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA Mark Flores certified the posting of the agenda APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES Approval of Minutes of the November 1, 1995 meeting was motioned to be approved by Commissioner Sandoval and seconded by Commissioner Acosta all passed unanimously PROGRAM REPORTS Recreation and Community Services Jim Given, Project Manager discussed the preparations and Youth Commission involvement in the City XMas parade and Commissioners Dinner. Youth Council /Teen Center It was reported that the Teen Center was scheduling a trip to a Lakers game in December as well as flag football, Day Camp involvement and continuing Teen Center programs GENERAL REPORTS Ron Roberson presented information on the preparations necessary to start a Youth Commission sponsored cable program. NEW PROGRAM IDEAS Commissioner Espinoza Presented his research into the possibility of a Boys and Girls Club in Lynwood. Public Orals There were no new public orals STAFF ORALS 0 0 There were no staff orals COMMISSION ORALS Commissioner Nava expressed looking forward in participating in Community Services Day Commissioner Acosta mentioned the canned food drive at her school. Commissioner Sandoval wished all Commissioner a Merry X Mas Commissioner Espinoza mentioned his canned food drive through the LHS ASB ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Acosta moved that the meeting be adjourned to the next regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and' seconded by Commissioner McZeal All in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
