II. DISCUSSION
A. Christmas Holiday Project
The Lynwood Women's Commission decided to start making
arrangements for the Christmas Women Center Project.
Commissioner Culp stated that the commission should start putting
together a letter format asking for any kind of donations to sponsor
the event. At the last regular LWC meeting held September 10,1996
staff liaison Carol de Jesus informed the commission that the
Women Center proposed certain changes in their program goals
which Council was not informed of, additionally, Ms. Edwards, the
Office Manager of the center and LWC contact person has been
reassingned to another post. Councilman Heine explained the
problem of records, he also offered himself to go to the Women
Center and find out if the commission can hold the event there.
Commissioner Ethel Pacheco advised the commission to table this
item for the next regular meeting, since Councilman Heine is going
to inform the commission of the situation at the next LWC regular
meeting. No final arrangements were made.
There being no further business the commission adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
