The ordinance amends section 315 et seq. of the city's code of ordinances regarding lawful gam- bling. The amended ordinance makes a distinction between lawful gambling which is also controlled by the state of Minnesota and gambling conducted by organiza- tions exempt from state regulation. Organizations which are regulated by both the state and the city, which tend to be larger, permanent gambling operations, will now be required to spend at least 50 percent of their lawful pur- pose expenditures within Medina's trade area. Medina's= . trade area is defined to include all of Medina and the seven cities adjacent to it. The full text of Ordinance No. 303 is available for inspection at Medina city hall during regular business hours.
