CITY OF MEDINA
ORDINANCE # 303 AMENDING THE CITY'S
GAMBLING ORDINANCE
The ciy council of the city of Medina has adopted
Ordinance No. 303. The ordinance amends section 315 et
seq. of the city's code of ordinances regarding lawful gam-
bling. The amended ordinance makes a distinction
between lawful gambling which is also controlled by the
state of Minnesota and gambling conducted by organiza-
tions exempt from state regulation. Organizations which
are regulated by both the state and the city, which tend to
be larger, permanent gambling operations, will now be
required to spend at least 50 percent of their lawful pur-
pose expenditures within Medina's trade area. Medina's= .
trade area is defined to include all of Medina and the
seven cities adjacent to it. The full text of Ordinance No.
