LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEWBOARD
Meeting of February 28, 1996
The meeting of the Law Enforcement Review Board was held on February 28, 1996 in the City
Hall, Council Chambers. (7he agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.)
The meeting was called to order at 6 p. m. by Chairperson Willis.
Fledge of allegiance was conducted by Commissioner Garcia.
ATTENDANCE
Board Members in attendance were: Elizabeth Dixon, Irene Garcia, Henry Guidry and David
Willis.
Councilmembers present: Councilman Heine
Staff members in attendance: Roger Haley and Tony Romero.
Sheriff Liaison in attendance: Sgt. Robert Lopez
PUBLIC ORALS
John L. Collins, 7400 Artesia Blvd. #1106, Buena Park informed the Board of an
incident which occurred on the 13th of February, 1996 daring which he was mistreated
by two Sheriff officers. Also stated a complaint has already beets filed with the Watch
Commander of the Century Station and Sheriff Sherman Block.
Councilman Heine invited the Board to attend this years Unity Dinner to be held at
Bateman Hall.
Mr Haley informed Mr Collins that he will look into the complaint and inform him as
soon as there is a response from the Sheriff's Department.

Chairperson Dixon commended Mr Collins for discussing the incident with the Board
Mrs. Dixon also commended the Sheriff's Department for their services during her Block
Party
Commissioner Garcia informed the board of an incident that had occurred when her
vehicle was rear ended
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting of the Law Enforcement Review Board was adjourned at 6.35 p.m, to the
March 28, 1996 meeting.
