AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE #84-6
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A
USER CHARGE SYSTEM IN THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, cOUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, STATE OF
NEW JERSEY, TO pROVIDE FUNDS NEEDED TO
PAY FOR ALL EXPENSES ASSocIATED WITH
THE BOROUGH'S SEWERAGE sYSTEM".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF
C~RTERET AS FOLLOWS=
ORDINANCE ~84-6 ENTITLED "An Ordinance Establishing a User
Charge System in the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex,
State of New Jersey to Provide Funds Needed to Pay for Ail
Expenses Associated with the Borough's Sewerage System" as
amended by Ordinances #85-50 and #90-43 is hereby amended
as follows:
Article IV, Section 3~ shall be amended as follows:
~ The residential contributor, other than those from
garden apartments, project apartments, and trailers, shall
pay an annual fixed fee of $314.04, plus a water consumption
rate of $0.02549 per cubic foot. Each residential contributor
unit shall have a minimum annual fee of $398.00 and a maximum
annual fee of $518.00. Residential contributors from garden
apartments, project apartments, and trailers shall pay a flat
rate of $292.29 for flow.
brticle Xo Section 1. shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 1. Any ordinance or amendment thereto which conflicts
or is not consistent herewith is hereby repealed to the extent
of such conflict or inconsistency.

Article XI, Section 1. shall be amended to read as follows:
ARTICLE XI.
~ This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage and publication as provided by law.
