HomeMy Public PortalAbout024-2011 - City - Stormwater Utility CoordinatINTERLOCAL AGREEMENT This Agreement is entered into this _3rd day of _February_, 2011, and effective January 1, 2011, by and between the City of Richmond, Richmond, Indiana (hereinafter "City") and Richmond Stormwater Management Board (hereinafter "RSMB") WHEREAS, it has been determined that the position of Stormwater Utility Coordinator for the City of Richmond, Indiana should be established; and WHEREAS, it has further been determined that such position should report to, and be supervised by, the Director of Public Works and Engineering of the City of Richmond, but, due to the specific nature of the work to be performed by the incumbent of such position, which will directly benefit the Richmond Sanitary District, should be totally funded from the budget of the Richmond Stormwater Utility Fund; and WHEREAS, the City and RSMB desire to set forth in writing the terms of this agreement through this Interlocal Agreement regarding the hiring, supervision and funding of a Stormwater Utility Coordinator with the RSMB and the City, NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms and conditions contained herein, including the above stated recitals, the parties agree as follows: 1. STORMWATER UTILITY COORDINATOR. There is a need for a Stormwater Utility Coordinator for RSMB as well as the City of Richmond. The Stormwater Utility Coordinator will be an employee of the City of Richmond. 2. SALARY FOR 2011. The salary for the Stormwater Utility Coordinator shall total $42,000.00 for 2011, with benefits as follows: Social Security $2,604.00 Medicare $609.00 PERF $2,415.00 Health insurance $6,224.00 The total amount of salary and benefits for such position, $53,852.00, shall be paid entirely from the budget of the Richmond Stormwater Utility Fund. Contract No. 24-2011 SUPERVISION. The Director of Public Works and Engineering shall supervise the Stormwater Utility Coordinator. The office of the Stormwater Utility Coordinator will be stationed at the Department of Public Works and Engineering. 4. MISCELLANEOUS. This Agreement shall be construed according to the laws of the State of Indiana. AMENDMENTS. No amendment or modification to this Interlocal Agreement shall be made except in writing and signed by both parties. 6. AUTHORIZATION. The individuals signing below represent that they have full authorization to execute this document on behalf of either the City of Richmond or the Richmond Stormwater Management Board. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties execute this Agreement as of the date first set forth above although signatures may be fixed at a different time.
