MGAC Minutes of Meeting
August 14, 2013
Attending: Robyn Grove, JJ Johnson, Bob Giles, Eric McCormick, Allan Morrison, Ron Noble, and Gene Drabinski.
Bob Giles called the meeting to order.
The minutes from the July meeting were approved.
Course Superintendent Report:
Eric McCormick submitted the July superintendent’s report by email (attached). A general discussion was held pertaining to plans for the rest of the year.
Golf Professional’s Report:
Allan Morrison discussed recent and upcoming tournaments and events. A YTD financial report (attached) was submitted; current total YTD revenue is $367,000+. He stated that he is having
many problems with the restaurant and will be making changes after the 2-Man Scramble.
McCall Men’s Golf Association- JJ Johnson reported that the association recently held the annual meeting and election of officers. Minutes are posted on the bulletin board. A discussion
was held identifying golf course improvement projects to be considered for funding next year. Bill Thompson and Fred Noland are to meet with Eric to prioritize.
City Manager- Gene Drabinski reported that the budget to be submitted to the city council includes a 4% increase in property tax, and a reduction in the number of city employees. Effect
on the golf course staff is elimination of 1 full time position.
