MGCAC Minutes 5-9-12MCGAC Minutes of Meeting May 9, 2012 Attending: Ben Reeder, Tim Swanson, Bob Giles, JJ Johnson, Eric McCormick, and Allan Morrison Jim Staup sat in. Meeting: Ben Reeder called the meeting to order. The following discussions were held: Monthly Report: Golf Course Finance Eric McCormick reported that the golf course budget, which includes operating expenses, capital improvements, and city funding, totals approximately $600,000 annually. The fiscal year ends September 30; YTD expenses are on track to total this amount. $600,000 is therefore the revenue goal for the fiscal year. Course Superintendent Report: (attached) Eric McCormick submitted the monthly superintendent report (attached). Golf Professional Report: Allan Morrison reported the following: Idaho/Boise State tournament will be held June 2-3. Cost is $200 per player High school golf team benefit will be held May 26. 9-hole scramble cost is $45. Jug Mountain Coupon: MGC has sold 80+; Jug Mtn about 45 Two Man Bestball is scheduled for June 16-17. Sales are slow at this point. McCall Amateur sales are on track. Season Passes: 19 have been sold YTD; 15 if these are the new “after 2” passes Several new freezers were purchased for $1000 Local Option Tax Report: Bob Giles reported the following: Tax funds available are about $225,000 Requests initially were about $800,000.The committee has recommended projects to the Council, which will decide in the next few weeks.
