REGULAR MEETING OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD
CITY OF LYNWOOD
APRIL 20, 1995
The regular meeting of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood, California was
held on Thursday April 20, 1995, at 5 00 p m in the Council Chambers of the
Lynwood City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly
posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Bell called the meeting to order at 5 02 p.m. Roll call was taken by
Gail L. Black, Director of Human Resources. All commissioners were present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Led by Commissioner Lewis.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner
Acosta - Gonzalez to approve the minutes of the special meeting of March 22, 1995.
All in favor Motion carried.
STUDIES & REPORTS
The motion was made by Commissioner Litke and seconded by Commissioner Gilpen
to approve the eligibility list for the position of Fire Engineer. All in favor. Motion
carried
The •motion was made by Commissioner Gilpen and seconded by Commissioner
Acosta - Gonzalez to approve the eligibility list for the position of Deputy City
Treasurer All in favor. Motion carried.
Ms. Black informed the commission that the Lynwood City code required board
reorganization annually on or before May As such nominations were in order for
the Chair and Vice -Chair to take their office at the May 18 meeting
Commissioner Acosta- Gonzalez was nominated by Commissioner Litke for Chairperson
and Commissioner Lewis seconded. All in favor. Motion carried
Commissioner Litke was nomina ted by Commissioner. Lewis for Vice - Chairperson and
Commissioner Gilpen seconded. All in favor. Motion carried.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Commissioner Acosta - Gonzalez invited everyone to attend the St. Francis Health Fair
from 8:OOam to 2 OOpm on Saturday at the Park.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Gilpen made the motion and Commissioner Lewis seconded to adjourn
to the next regular meeting scheduled for May 18, 1995 5:00 p m All in favor.
Motion carried Meeting adjourned at 5 p.m.
