• RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
• CONTRACT TO M.E. SIMPSON COMPANY INCORPORATED AS THE
APPARENT LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED
$19,485.41 FOR THE CORRELATOR BASED LEAK DETECTION STUDY AND
AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND
TRANSFER $19,485.41 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED WATER FUND TO
ACCOUNT NUMBER 6051.45.450; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2011 Public Works staff advertised the Correlator
Based Leak Detection Study and three contractors received project plans and contract
documents . and
WHEREAS, three bids were received in the Office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that
M.E. Simpson Company, Inc. is the apparent lowest responsible bidder at $19,485 41,
and
WHEREAS, the funds are available in the unappropriated Water Fund, and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS-
Section 1. That the contract for the Correlator Based Leak Detection Study be
awarded to M.E. Simpson Company, Inc. for its low bid of $19,485 41
Section 2. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to appropriate and
transfer $19,500 to account number 6051 45 450
, Section 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and J.A. Salazar Construction and Supply Corporation. ,
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6 th day of March, 2012.
