HomeMy Public PortalAbout2012.046 (03-06-12)RESOLUTION NO 2012.046 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, ADOPTING THE SPECIFICATIONS AND WORKING DETAILS FOR THE NEW PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AUTHORIZING THE CITY .MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND TRANSFER $75,000 OF UNAPPROPRIATED TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) ARTICLE 3 FUNDS TO THE NEW PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FY 2011 -2012 AND AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS' ENGINEERING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS THROUGH THE INFORMAL BID PROCESS WHEREAS, the contract documents and working details for the New Pedestrian Improvement Project, FY 2011 -2012 are complete and ready for the City Council of the City of Lynwood's review, consideration and adoption, and WHEREAS, the total estimated project cost for said project is $75,000; and WHEREAS, staff has identified T D.A., Article 3 funds that are available for this project; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has determined that said project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt pursuant to section 15301 (C) of the CEQA guidelines pertaining to statutory exemption, and WHEREAS, the project is ready to be advertised for the solicitation of bids. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS- Section 1. That the City Council approves the use of T D.A. Article 3 for the New Pedestrian Improvement Project and authorizes the City Manager or designee to appropriate and transfer $75,000 of T D.A. Article 3 funds to the New Pedestrian Improvement Project. Section 2. The Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has determined that said project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt pursuant to section 15301 (C) of the CEQA guidelines pertaining to statutory exemption. . Section 3 That the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopts the Contract Documents and Working Details for the New Pedestrian Improvement Project, FY 2011- 2012. Section 4 . That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the solicitation of bids for the New Pedestrian Improvement Project. Section 5 . This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption. Section 6 . The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
