Home My Public Portal About2012.044 (03-06-12)RESOLUTION NO. 2012.044 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED BY THE ISSUANCE OF PROPOSED 2012 MEASURE R. BONDS THROUGH THE CALIFORNIA STATEWIDE COMMUNITIES DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the City's roadway system consists of approximately 93 miles of various roadway functional classes including arterials, collectors, residential streets and alleys, and WHEREAS, the condition and the need to maintain this roadway system have been identified in the Pavement Management System (PMS) prepared in August 2010; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is desirous in utilizing the 2012 Measure R Bond funds toward the maintenance of the City's roadway system as identified in the PMS document; and WHEREAS, about 80 % of the Measure R revenues will be utilized for the issuance of the California Statewide Communities Development Authority bond, and WHEREAS, staff has prepared the lists of streets that can be improved using said funds as shown in Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" attached herewith NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS. Section 1. That the City Council approves the street improvement projects as identified in Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" for the 2012 Measure R Bond funds. Section 2. The City Council hereby - authorizes City Staff to finance street projects by the issuance of bonds through the State's financing authority, the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA) to secure funding for said street improvement projects. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. Section 4.
