CITY OF MOAB
ORDINANCE NO. 9-77
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, BUILDINGS, MOAB CITY CODE 1965, AS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOAB, UTAH:
THAT Sec. 5-1 and 5-3 of the Ordinances of Moab City, 1965, as amended
by, and the same is, hereby amended to read as follows; to wit:
"Sec. 5-1. Building Code - - Adopted.
That certain codes establishing rules and regulations for the regulation
and control of the design, construction, quality of materials, use and occupancy,
location and maintenance of buildings, and structures entitled "Uniform Building
Code," 1976 Edition, printed as a code in book form, adopted by the International
Conference of Building Officials is hereby adopted as the building code of the
City, and by this reference is made a part of this chapter to the same extent
of the "Uniform Building Code," 1976 Edition, relating to fees and with respect
to fees Section 5-3 is confirmed and approved."
"Sec. 5-3. Same - - Permit fees.
The building permit fees applicable in the City for use under the Build-
ing Code adopted by this chapter shall be as follows:
Cost of Work Charge
Less than $100.00 No charge
$101 to and including $300 $2.50
$301 to and including $500 $5.00
$501 to and including $1,000 $10.00
Each additional $1,000 to and
including $15,000 $2.50
Each additional $1,000 over
$15,000 to and including
50,000 $1.50
Each additional $1,000 over
50,000 $1.00
THAT the City Council finds and declares that it is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of this City that this
Ordinance take effect upon its passage and pgblicati,oR.
PASSED by the unanimous vote of all members present of the City Council
of the City of Moab, Utah, this 19th day of July, 1977.
