ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE
OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED that Chapter 9, Section 9-4 is amended as follows:
No public official, employee or agent of the Borough of Carteret
shall be permitted to take home a Borough vehicle unless deemed
necessary by the Councilperson designated to chair the Council
Committee having responsibility for the department in which the

recezved by the off~czal P Y g Assistant Chief
Police, the Fire Superintendent, the Fire Chief and
or their designees, and the Emergency Management Coordinators shall
be hereby expressly authorized due to the emergency nature of
their positions.
BE ~P FURT~ ORDAINED that this amendment supersedes and renders
null and void any other previous amendment to this Chapter and Section.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAIN~I) that all Sections of ~his CHRpter not
specifically amended hereto remain with full force and effect.
