McCaII Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting
Tue., March 13, 2012
Library Conference Room, 4:00 P. M.
Call to order : 4:00 P. M.
Attendance :Ed Hershberger, Nancy Butler, Anne Kantola, Lynn Lewinski and Jacki Rubin.
Minutes : Approved as corrected.
Director's Report : Anne has reviewed and checked past minutes to bring the records up to date. There
were quite a few signatures missing, which will be taken care of today.
Budget and Stats : Approved upon review.
Staff : Mary Jane is going to retire. It is sad to see her go, but time to celebrate with almost 30
years with the library. Anne will pursue what plans the City has. The job will be posted internally.
Friend's Report : Boxes of excess books on their way to the Boise Veterans.
A donor is giving the Friends/Library $100.00 a month to help cover needs.
Old Business :
Policy manual: We each need to read and make our own edits to computer policy, filters, etc. to
comply with State regulations. Also, review reference material for future discussions.
Annual Report to Council: Nancy in coming in Friday, Lynn will edit the first part of April.
New Business :
Inter -Library Loan Policy: Ongoing.
Mailing bags: Local business has a new owner, so we have begun again with the new owner.
LOT Application: Anne will secure papers to apply for the last of the shelving project.
Loose ends: Discussion of gathering bid information for painting the building. We all wish we
were building something instead.
Review of the next movie poster and event. Looks good.
