McCaII Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting
Tues., Feb. 26, 2013
Conference Room - 4:00 PM
Call to order : 4:10 pm
Attendance : Lynn Lewinski, Jacki Rubin, Anne Kantola, and Jamie Bell(via phone)

New Hire:
training today.
The Clerk 1 position has been filled by Alison Saylor, who started her first day of
OverDrive: This program is taking on a life of its own. The marketing and computer support
is amazing. The subscription has started, thanks again to the Friends! As staff learns the process and
feels more confident over the next few weeks we will market and inform the community of this great
new asset we have.
Yearly evaluations: Lynn brought Anne's evaluation into Gene, with discussion of Library Board
responsibilities that dovetail with City requirements.
ICfL Rep. meeting: This will be a 3 hour information meeting, not to be considered an
official meeting. We hope to attend to any needed business apart from that, if necessary, at an April
meeting. To be determined.
Agenda: Lynn will be the nudge about posting when she brings in the minutes for the time being,
so that Anne can delegate while staff trains and prepares for the summer programs.
Loose ends: The Community Art ceramic mosaic from the high school Art Club is hung, and it
is incredible! Everyone should go see this! A wonderful new addition of art in the community.
After a year or so, we feel the need for a new look in the Star News ad. Lynn will
contact Tom about refreshing this.
Nancy Butler gave us a letter of resignation. She feels her amount of travel time
and missing meetings have become a conflict. We will miss Nancy, she has been a great team member.
Hopefully she will continue her support through the Friends.
Anne will post the opening on the Board. Lynn will reconnect with Clem Pope to see if he is still
interested in joining us.
April 25th is the City Council power point presentation. Anne will oversee the production and
Lynn will review and help present.
We discussed ways to help Anne; more discussion to follow with time to consider possibilities.
