McCall Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting
Tue., Jan. 21, 2014
Conference Room - 4:00 PM
Call to order: 4pm
Attendance : Anne Kantola, Jacki Rubin, Lola Eliot, Ed Hershberger, and Lynn Lewinski.
Minutes : Approved as presented.
Director's Report :
Budget and Stats : Information backlogged due to City auditing.
Staff : Robyn gave us the most wonderful preview presentation of the Capitol Improvement
Project (CIP) which she will present to the Committee and Council. So great to see our hope for a new
facility put out for thought.
Friend's Report : The Friends asked to have the Library staff take over the Travelogue series since they
were so involved already. It has been such a success with the community. We really need more space to
do the program justice.
Friends are quite busy and excited about the upcoming book sale over the Winter Carnival.
The new volunteers and change of some aspects have brought much more energy to the Friends.
Old Business :
Meeting with ICfL: In flux.
Challenged Materials Policy: In process.
Evaluations: Anne has completed staff evaluations.
New Business :
Restrictions on LIII cards: Great discussion on the pros and cons. No changes at this time.
Future Goals: We love that Robyn is taking our goal of a new facility to the City Committee.
Loose ends: The Board will meet separately to discuss Anne's evaluation.
The Film Movement group is having some troubles scheduling movies at the Alpine Playhouse.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 27, 2014 at 4:00 PM.
