ADJOURNMENT * Next Meeting - September 27, 1995 � 119 — f i, 0 • • MINUTES LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEW BOARD Meeting of July 26, 1995 The regular meeting or the Law Enforcement Review Board was held on July 26, 1995, in the City Hall Council Chambers. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.) The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. by Chairperson David Willis. Pledge of allegiance was conducted by Commissioner Hilano Esparza. ATTENDANCE Board Members in attendance were: Elizabeth Dixon, Hilano Esparza and David Willis. Councilmembers present: Concilman Louis Heine Staff members in attendance: Roger Haley and Tony Romero. MINUTES The minutes of the June 28, 1995 regular meeting were read and approved as distributed. PUBLIC ORALS Irene Garcia, 2 73 7 E. 111th Street, made comment on how the loud music ordinance is not being properly enforced by the sheriffs department. Mr Willis explained to Mrs. Garcia to his understanding on how complaints with the Sheriff's department are prioritized. Councilman Heine informed the Board that he receives a monthly status report from the Sheriff's department on the total of how many citation were issued out for that month. E Law Enforcement Review Board Page 2 BOARD MEMBER'S ORALS • Mrs. Dixon spoke in reference to the new ordinance on garage /yard sales and asked who will enforce the ordinance if someone should have a yard sale without proper permits. Mr Haley explained to the Board that the residents are only allowed to hold a yard sale 4 times a year and only on specific months. Mrs. Dixon made comment that in other cities when they issue out a permit to hold a yard sale that the city issues a orange flag to post on the front yard Mr Esparza reported that his neighbor is storing butane tanks next to the property. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6.56 p.m. to the August 23, 1995 regular meeting.
