LAWENFORCEMENT REVIEWBOARD
Meeting of January 25, 1995
The regular meeting of the Law Enforcement Review Board was held on January 25, 1995, in the
City Hall Council Chambers. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.)
The meeting was called to order at 6.•00 p.m. by Chairperson David Willis.
Pledge of allegiance was conducted by The Law Enforcement Review Board
ATTENDANCE
Board Members in attendance were: Elizabeth Dixon, Henry Guidry, David Willis.
Councilmembers present: None.
Staff members in attendance: Tony Romero
Sher'rifs Liason: Sgt. Woody Wilson was introduced to the Board as the new Sheriffs hason
PUBLIC ORALS

BOARD MEMBER'S ORALS
Mrs. Dixon pointed out that the Law Enforcement is not active next to having its
regular meetings and wants to start a conference at the Lynwood Justice Center
for the month of February due to it being "Victims of Crime" month. Mrs.
Dixon requested that the City host it and have Governor Wilson as our special
guest.
Mr Willis spoke on how council has not been showing up to the Law
Enforcement Review Board meetings with the exception of Councilman Heine.

Mrs. Dixon also added that she had invited Ralph Davis to attend the regular
meetings because he is the staffperson for. Block Watch.
Mr Willismade referrence about the Law Enforcement Board meeting's not
being advertised on the "Lynwood `n' Perspective" newsletter
Mrs. Dixon included that the reason the Board meeting's haven't been
advertised is because the Board hasn't been active and also made comment on
how the City of Long Beach Law Enforcement Board are very active with the
community and request that the Law Enforcement Board should take a trip to
one of the meeting in Long Beach and participate with them.
Mr Guidry added that there should be flyers handed out to residents about the
Law Enforcement Review Board meetings to the residents.
Mrs. Dixon concluded that it is best to add the flyers with the water bill.
Sgt. Wilson informed the Board that Councilman Heine as not able to attend the
meeting because he had another appointment to attend to.
Tony also informed the Board that Staff liason Roger Haley was not able to
attend the meeting because he had to attend a meeting in Los Angeles,
Mrs. Dixon asked Sgt. Wilson what he could contribute to the Board.
Sgt. Wilson informed the Board that if they had any questions concerning the
Sheriff's to contact him or Roger and they try to provide the Board with the
answers as much as possible.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6.16 p. m. to the March 22, 1995
regular meeting.
