COMMUNITY CABLE ACCESS ADVISORY COMMISSION
MINUTES OF THE JULY 10, 1995 MEETING
The regular meeting of the Community Cable Access Advisory Commission of the City
of Lynwood was held July 10, 1995, at the Lynwood Cable Studio. (The Agenda was duly
posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.)
Vice - Chairperson Ethel Pacheco called the meeting to order at 5.30 P.M. Commissioners
in attendance were Bill Cunningham, A. Ann Fields, Ethel Pacheco, and Ada McZeal.
Commissioner Bill Lewis was absent.
Staff present were Johonna Jacobs - Howard and Serena Coulson.
Commissioner A. Fields motioned to approve the minutes of June 12, 1995, meeting as
stated. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion.
I. SCHEDULED MATTERS
A. Video Production Course Session #8 for Commissioners
The Video Production Course was not presented to the Commissioners due to
the absent of the instructor Staff person Roberson.
B. Preview of Lynwood Showcase #71
There was no viewing of Lynwood Showcase #71 due to the on -going
problems with the video equipment. Staff person Howard gave an update to
the Commissioners regarding the video equipment. She also stated that she
will bring an update on the purchasing of equipment in the September 11,
1995, meeting.
C. Lynwood Media Services Booth -Metro Green Line Opening
Staff person Howard stated that the Lynwood Media Services Division will
have a booth at the Metro Green Line Opening, she asked the Commissioners
if they would like to help staff the booth.
Commissioner Pacheco asked Staff person Howard to explain to the
Commissioners the plans for the Lynwood Media Services Booth that we will
be staffing at the Metro Green Line Opening. Staff person Howard stated that
we are going to have a booth at the Metro Green Line, August 12, from 10:00
a.m. - 2:00 p.m. She also stated that we will be displaying Lynwood `n
Perspective, City Brochure, Newspaper Articles about significant events iA
Lynwood and segments of Lynwood Showcase. She also stated in addition to
that we will be selling bottle water and sodas.

MINUTES OF THE JULY 10, 1995 MEETING
Commissioner Pacheco stated that she will be glad to participate in staffing
the booth. Commissioner Cunningham asked Staff person Howard for the
location of the Metro Green Line Opening. Staff person Howard stated that
the Metro Green Line Opening will be held here in Lynwood, at Long Beach
Blvd., and the I -105 Freeway in the parking lot. She also stated that there
will be a variety of entertainment. Commissioner Fields stated that the selling
of bottle water and sodas is a good idea.
Staff person Howard gave to the Commissioners an update on the Third
Annual Cable Awards Program, she stated that we have set a date for the
event. She stated that this year it will be held on November 13, 1995, and that
we have reserved the auditorium at Bateman Hall for the Awards Program.
She stated we are working toward making the Adult Cable Awards Program
even more of a community event.
Staff person Howard stated that she and Staff person Roberson are working
on suggestions that they will bring to the Commissioners in terms of the
Master of Ceremonies at a later date. She stated that she and Staff person
Roberson are trying to get someone in the industry She stated, in addition to
that they will bring an idea regarding honoring the people in Lynwood who
have cable programs that they are producing.
Commissioner Fields stated that it should be someone who has worked with
Lynwood Cable.
