I. SCHEDULED MATTERS
A. Video Production Course Session #8 for Commissioners
The Video Production Course was not presented to the Commissioners
due to the illness of the instructor Staff person Roberson.
B. Preview of Lynwood Showcase #70
Commissioner Lewis stated to Staff person Howard that there is no
viewing of Lynwood Showcase #70 on the agenda.
Staff person Howard stated that she did not put the viewing of the
Lynwood Showcase #70 on the agenda because of the video computer
problems we are having. She also stated that the system is down and that it
has to be restored. She stated that Staff person Roberson has to learn the
technical side of the computer, that is the programming side of-it. Staff
person Howard also stated that Staff person Roberson has been working
with Continental Cablevision to learn more about the system because they
have the same type of equipment. She stated that Continental Cablevision
upgraded their software for their video toaster; Staff person Roberson
asked if he could upgrade also, but by upgrading the software on the video
toaster he did not know that there was not enough memory capacity, she
stated that is why the system is going down so much.
Commissioner Fields asked, Staff person Howard if Staff person Roberson
could take a course in the area he needs to increase his knowledge of the
computer system. Commissioner Lewis asked if the course would cost.

MINUTES OF THE JUNE 12,1995 MEETING
Staff person Howard stated that she is sure a training course will cost; she
also stated that she had suggested to Staff person Roberson about on -going
training at Continental Cablevision. Commissioner Lewis asked Staff
person Howard if the video toaster is used primarily for editing. Staff
person Howard stated that it is for editing and graphics. Commissioner
Lewis stated that he agrees that Staff person Roberson should keep up to
date with the changing process in the video production field. He also
stated that it would benefit us because it would shorten any delays that
might occur in the future in video development.
Commissioner Lewis stated that with the on going problems of the video
equipment does this mean that we will use our stand -by Showcase this
month in our viewing? Staff person Howard stated we can, but as you
know the previous showcase is a couple of weeks late in terms of airing
that is still being aired. Commissioner Cunningham stated that the
Lynwood Showcase that is airing now is a very good program.
Commission Fields stated before we go to the next matter, is it possible
that we could found a video course that would give Staff person Roberson
some type of on -going training. Staff person Howard stated that we can
look into providing some type of course.
Commissioner Lewis asked Staff person Howard, if Lynwood Showcase
#68 will still be airing. Staff person Howard stated, our plan is to prepare a
Lynwood Showcase for this month; but we need to download the computer
to free up some of the memory on the hard drive.
C. LII Budget Information
Commissioner Lewis asked the Commissioners if they had any questions
regarding the LII Budget Information packet.
Commissioner Cunningham stated that he had no questions, but the
information was put together in a nice form. Commissioner Lewis asked
Staff person Howard if the LII Budget Information packet had already
been submitted to the City Manager Staff person Howard stated it has, she
