CREATING HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE
24 HAYWARD AVENUE
WHEREAS, Lorraine Kovacs has requested a Handicapped Parking Space;
and
WHEREAS, this individual has met the requirements of the Traffic Safety
Bureau for said parking spaces; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has inspected said location and has no
objections to fire approval of said Handicapped Parking Space;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the
Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret that the following Handicapped
Parking Space shall be designated
Lorraine Kovacs
24 Hayward Avenue
Carteret, N.J. 07008
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the $250.00 fee for the Handicapped
Parking Space is hereby waived.

Dear Ms. Barney:
Working together to build a better Carteret
As requested, we have reviewed the applicant's request for the designation of an on street
handicapped parking space to be located on Hayward Avenue in front of the property. Based on
our site visit the property in question contains substantial physical restrictions. As a result of
these restrictions the property meets the requirements for the designation of a handicapped
parking space, and furthermore, as required by NJSA Title 39:4 - 197.5, the subject application
indicates the applicant possesses a valid disabled person identification card.
Therefore we have no objection to the Borough granting the applicant's request for a
designated handicapped parking space on Hayward Avenue, subject to the approval of the
Borough's Traffic Safety Officer. Please note if approved, the $250.00 fee should be waived.
