SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Ordinance No. 796 requires the City Council to appoint seven members comprised of two members of different City Advisory Committees, one senior citizen representative, and four at-large
residents to a Local Option Tax (LOT) Commission. The members of the LOT Commission have the responsibility to develop annual budgets and make specific recommendations for the use
of the local-option non-property tax revenues derived from the collected taxes.
