These walls are erected one floor at a time, beginning at the foundation and continuing up to or through the roof. At intermediate floors metal floor /ceiling track shall be installed back -to -back to secure the top of the lower section of the partition to the bottom of the next section being installed. At intermediate floors and other specified locations the area separa- tion walls shall be attached to adja- cent wood or steel framing on each side with aluminum clips that soften when exposed to fire (Figure 4). if one side of the structure becomes involved in a fire, the clips on the fire side allow collapse of the structure on that side. The clips on the other side support the area separation wall keeping it in place, thereby pro- tecting the adjacent structure. The system is required to sus- tain the design load throughout the test and not permit the passage of either flame or hot gases capable of igniting cotton waste. Surface tem- peratures on the unexposed side of the test specimen are measured at a minimum of nine locations. The average temperature of the unex- posed surface is not permitted to in- crease more than 250 °F above am- bient nor is any individual thermo- couple permitted to rise more than 325 °F above ambient. Ceiling Openings Many fire- resistance rated floor - ceiling systems have been tested with openings through the ceiling membrane for air ducts, electrical outlets, and lighting fixtures. Building codes permit air duct openings in most ceiling systems when the air duct openings are pro- tected with approved ceiling dampers and permit unprotected electrical outlet openings such as 16 square inch outlet boxes that are approved for use in fire- resistance rated systems. The aggregate area of all such openings shall not ex- ceed 100 square inches for any 100 square feet of ceiling area unless otherwise approved. Many approved recessed light- ing fixtures require special protec- tion. Consult the fire test report or listing for the specific system for protection details and the opening area limitation. All Co's must be installed to GA SWCC requirements as shown in the "Green Book ". Currently site traffic onto Miller is over a 50 "- wide dirt drive. 2) Clean roadside ditch along 2 11d Street. The downstream Check Dam (Cd) will be removed al a later date. 3) Regarding the swalefditch on wet side of site adjacent to the nature trail: a) Complete it to the northern limits shown on the plans and provide continuous positive flow. b) Provide side slopes as shown on the plans, c) Provide a suitable stand of grass on the slopes. 4) Sections of curb with cracks to be replaced Gouged areas with no cracks may be patched. 5) Remove all debris and construction waste. 6) Some cleanouts and water meters need adjustment to be at grade. 7) Asbuilts and plat to be cross checked to assure easements for improvements installed to date serve their intended purpose. 8) Address irrigation metering and backflow on the asbuilts. 9) Address the metering and backflow of the fountain on the asbuilts. 10) With regard to site grading: a) Provide swales between buildings as shown on plans. b) Lower sod to be below paved areas beneath buildings. Currently there is evidence of standing water. c) In general, provide positive drainage away from units as shown on plans. d) Use of subgrade entrances into lower enclosed areas of buildings was not shown on the approved plans and is not permitted. Proper swale installation will eliminate the need for this. It appears that improper installation of sanitary sewer services may have preceded this unapproved field modification. 11) Replace, secure, etc... silt fence as necessary.
