RE: 1995 COMMUNITY SERVICES DAY
The City of Lynwood is pleased to announce that we will again host
"Community Services Day ". This important event is scheduled for
Saturday, December 16, 1995 at the Bateman Hall facility parking
lot beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m.
The purpose of this event is to provide qualifying Lynwood
residents with food baskets for the family, toys for youngsters 12
years and younger, and Christmas trees that will be raffled off to
as many families as possible. There will also be entertainment by
local talent and the opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus.
This most needed program was recommended and is hosted by the
Community Affairs Commission and this year they would like to
invite your Commission to participate in the "1st Annual Christmas
Tree Decorating Contest ". All Commissions and Boards are being
sought, requesting their participation in decorating a Christmas
Tree that will be judged by City officials and raffled off to a
needy family afterward.
We are asking that this request be put on the agenda of your next
scheduled meeting. Information will follow if your Commission
approves this request.
The Community Affairs Commission sincerely hopes that you will be
able to join us for this year's Community Services Day Program.
Together we can help make the holidays more meaningful.
Sincerely,
David Litsinger, Chairman
Community Affairs Commission
