DATE. October 11, 1994
TO The Mayor and City Council for the City of Lynwood
SUBJECT Request for Local Telephone Number for the new Sheriff's Station.
It is the understanding of Lynwood's Block Captains, that the telephone number for the
new Sheriff's Station has a "213" area code. This is totally unacceptable to the citizens
of Lynwood and we demand that this situation be rectified immediately
We, the citizens of Lynwood, want the area code for the Sheriff's Station to be "310, "the
same as the community being served by that station. We request that this change, or a
definite plan formulated to make this happen within one month. If no action is taking
place to do this, then we (the citizens) demand the presence of a city council member at
our next scheduled Block Council meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for October
25, 1994, in the Lynwood Activity Center at 6.30 P.M. However, if this issue has been
resolved by October 25, then a written notification to the Block Council is acceptable.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Lynwood Block Council
