Report from attending Commissioners Community Services Day New Program Ideas (OCT -DEC) Public Orals Staff Orals Commission Orals Adjournment to December 6, 1995 Commission Minutes For October 4, 1995 The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in regular session October 4, 1995 at 6 11 p m at the Lynwood Community Transit Center, located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard, Lynwood. Chairperson Zavala presided ROLL CALL Commissioners Zavala, Sandoval, Acosta, Espinoza, Grergory, Hardin, McZeal, G Hardin, Nava answered roll call Commissioners Gutierrez, Wroten, Hampton did not answer roll call. CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA Mark Flores certified the posting of the agenda. APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES Approval of Minutes of the September meeting was motioned to be approved by Commissioner Acosta and seconded by Commissioner Gregory all passed unanimously. PROGRAM REPORTS Recreation and Community Services Mr Flores reported on the upcoming Gospel Fest October 28 at 6pm, the success of the City soccer program, drill team activities, City Halloween activities and Community Services Day in December Youth Council /Teen Center It was reported that the Teen Center had a trip to Dodger Stadium in September to see the Dodgers play the San Diego Padres and continuing Teen Center programs GENERAL REPORTS Mr. Flores reported that the Yuba City Youth Commission will be having its Second Annual Youth Commission Conference in October. Arrangements for attending Commissioners were to be discussed in a sub - committee meeting Character Counts Week activities were discussed for the week of October 15 -21. NEW PROGRAM IDEAS Commission participation in Community Services day was discussed as 0 well as the possibility of a "Youth Yellow Pages" sponsored by the Commission. Public Orals There were no new public orals STAFF ORALS There were no staff orals COMMISSION ORALS Commissioner McZeal asked about the airing of the television show sponsored by the Compton Youth Commission. Commissioner Gregory apologized for missing the last meeting. Commissioner Hardin welcomed the new commissioner ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Gregory moved that the meeting be adjourned to the next regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and seconded by Commissioner Acosta. All in favor Meeting adjourned at 7 00 p m.
