Commission Minutes
For September 6, 1995
The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in regular session
September 6, 1995 at 6 05 p m at the Lynwood Community Transit
Center, located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard, Lynwood
Chairperson Zavala presided
Rita Manibusan swore in new Commissioners in attendance
Jim Given, Project gave an official Department welcome
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Zavala, Sandoval, Acosta, Wroten, Hardin, McZeal, G
Hardin, Nava, and Gutierrez answered roll call.
Commissioners Gregory, Hampton, M Hardin did not answer roll call
CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA
Mark Flores certified the posting of the agenda
APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES
Approval of Minutes of the August 1995 meeting was motioned to be
approved by Commissioner Sandoval and seconded by Commissioner
McZeal all passed unanimously.
PROGRAM REPORTS
Recreation and Community Services
Mr. Given reported on the upcoming park rehabilitation, the ending
of Day Camp, the closing of the Lynwood Activity Center, and city-
wide, FIestas Patrias celebration
Youth Council /Teen Center
It was reported that the Teen Center is having a trip to Dodger
Stadium in September to see the Dodgers play the San Diego Padres
and continuing Teen Center programs.
GENERAL REPORTS
Mr. Flores reported that the Yuba City Youth Commission will be
having its Second Annual Youth Commission Conference in October.
Attendance at this conference was to be discussed in the sub-
committee meeting

COMMISSION ORALS

Commissioners G. Hardin, Acosta, Nava, Gutierrez, McZeal and
Sandoval welcomed the new Commissioner.
Commissioner Espinoza expressed his hope for future endeavors for
the Commission.
Commissioner Zavala Apologized for missing last months meeting
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Acosta moved that the meeting be adjourned to the next
regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and seconded by
Commissioner Gutierrez. All in favor Meeting adjourned at 6 50
p.m
