CITY OF LYNWOOD
YOUTH COMMISSION MINUTES
The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in regular session on May
4, 1995 at 6:10 p.m. at the Lynwood Community Transit Center,
located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Lynwood.
Vice - Chairperson Zavala presided
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Zavala, Acosta, Hampton, McZeal, Gregory and Sandoval
answered roll call.
Commissioners Trigo, Combs, Gonzalez, Gutierrez, Williams, Hardin,
and Moody did not answer roll call
CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA
Mark Flores certified the posting of the agenda
APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES
Approval of Minutes of the March 1, February 1, and April 5
meetings were motioned to be approved by Commissioner Acosta and
seconded by Commissioner Gregory
PROGRAM REPORTS
Recreation and Community Services
Mr Flores reported on the Cinco de Mayo festivities planned by the
department
Youth Council /Teen Center
It was reported that the Teen Center has moved to extended summer
hours of 3 p.m to 8 p m on weekdays.
GENERAL REPORTS
Commissioner business cards were issued with the exception of
Commissioners Hampton and Gregory
NEW PROGRAM IDEAS
Staff was to investigate into the possibility of having a fund
raising Bike- A -Thon in the Summer.

There were no public orals.
STAFF ORALS
There were no staff orals.
COMMISSION ORALS
- Commissioner McZeal asked Commissioners to state their birthdays
so that they can be recognized individually in the meetings to
come
- Commissioner Sandoval inquired about the unsatisfactory attendance
of Commissioners Moody and Combs
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Gregory moved that the meeting be adjourned to the
next regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and seconded by
Commissioner Acosta All in favor. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m
