Adjournment to April 5, 1995 CITY OF LYNWOOD YOUTH COMMISSION MINUTES The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in regular session on February 1, 1995 at 6 07 p.m. at the Lynwood Community Transit Center, located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Lynwood. Chairperson Jesus Trigo presided. ROLL CALL Commissioners Trigo, Zavala, Acosta, Combs, Gutierrez, Hardin, McZeal, Williams, and Sandoval answered roll call Commissioner Gregory arrived after grace period Commissioners Gonzalez, Hampton, and Moody did not answer roll call CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA Jim Given, Project Manager, certified the posting of the agenda. APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES It was moved by Commissioner Gutierrez and seconded by Commissioner Sandoval to approve the minutes of January 4, 1995, with correction of changing the adjournment day to February 1, 1995. PROGRAM REPORTS Recreation and Community Services Jim Given reported on the January, Martin Luther King, Jr. Basketball Tournament and plans for Black History Month Celebration by the Recreation and Community Services Department Youth Council /Teen Center There was no Youth Council representative at the meeting. GENERAL REPORTS A fund raising field trip was organized for March 3, 1995 to go see FAMILY FEUD at CBS Studios. Commissioners were instructed to recruit participants for the event i �► It was discussed that some Commissioners have not received their Business Cards. Staff will further pursue this issue NEW PROGRAM IDEAS There were no new program ideas Public Orals There were no public orals. STAFF ORALS There were no staff orals. COMMISSION ORALS Commissioner Hardin expressed her dislike of the ME AND THE BOYS field trip being canceled Commissioner Zavala apologized for being late and mentioned that she was contemplating resigning from the Commission if her schedule could not meet the needs of the Commission Commissioner Trigo urged all to attend sub - committee meetings Commissioner Gregory stated that he would begin to attend meetings on a more regular schedule ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Hardin moved that the meeting be adjourned to the next regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and seconded by Commissioner Zavala. All in favor Meeting adjourned at 7 02 p m. n
