YOUTH COMMISSION MINUTES
The City of Lynwood Youth Commission met in regular session on
January 4, 1995 at 6:02 p.m at the Lynwood Community Transit
Center, located at 3798 Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard, Lynwood.
Chairperson Jesus Trigo presided
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Trigo, Acosta, Gutierrez, Hampton and Sandoval
answered roll call. Commissioners Zavala & McZeal arrived at 6 12
p.m.
Commissioners Gonzalez, Hardin, Gregory, Williams, Combs and Moody
did not answer roll call'
CERTIFICATION OF THE POSTING OF THE AGENDA
Mark Flores certified the posting of the agenda.
APPROVAL OF THE PAST MINUTES
It was moved by Commissioner Sandoval and seconded by Commissioner
Acosta to approve the minutes of January 4, 1995, with correction
of changing the adjournment day to January 4.
PROGRAM REPORTS
Recreation and Community Services
Jim Given, Project Manager reported on the Candy Cane Lane Parade
on December 9, 1994. In other department activities, Mark Flores
reported on Community Service Day. He thanked Commissioner Williams
for volunteering at the event.
Youth Council /Teen Center
There was no Youth Council representative at the meeting.
GENERAL REPORTS
A fund raising field trip was organized for January 27 to go see ME
& THE BOYZ at CBS Studios. Commissioners were instructed to recruit
participants for the event
It was also reported that the proposed Youth Commission Meeting
time change was under consideration by the City Council Further
information will follow
NEW PROGRAM IDEAS
There were no new program ideas

There were no public orals.
STAFF ORALS
There were no staff orals.
COMMISSION ORALS
Commissioner McZeal apologized for being late due to her street
being flooded She also wished everyone a happy new year.
Commissioner Trigo urged all Commissioners to attend the January
27, 1995 show.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Zavala moved that the meeting be adjourned to the next
regularly scheduled Youth Commission Meeting and seconded by
Commissioner Gutierrez. All in favor Meeting adjourned at 7: 06
p.m.
