RESOLUTION NO. 91 -150
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FOUR YEAR
TREE TRIMMING CONTRACT RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
BOND REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, on May 17,1988, the City Council awarded the
Four Year Tree Trimming Contract FY 87 -91 to California Western
Arborist for $408,897.00; and

WHEREAS, on March 5, 1991, the City Council approved
the renewal of this contract to cover four year tree trimming
service for FY 91 -92 through FY 94 -95 for $628,435.00; and
WHEREAS, on July 16, 1991, the City Council approved a
contract amendment in the amount of $464,955.00 for the light
trimming of zones D and E of Area 3, FY 1991 -92 and Areas 4,1 and
2, FY 1992 -93 through FY 1994 -95; and
WHEREAS, the present wording of the project
specifications relating to the contract bond requirements needs
to be revised to only require contract bonds be submitted for
each fiscal year, and that the surety have the option of renewing
these bonds at the conclusion of the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has concurred that this can be
done through an amendment to agreement, and has prepared said
contract amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the contract be amended to only require
that contract bonds be submitted.for each fiscal year and that
the surety have an option of renewing the bonds at the conclusion
of each fiscal year.
Section 2 . That the Mayor is authorized to execute the
amendment to agreement.
Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
