A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF REDESIGN
OF DYMALLY PARK AS A POSSIBLE PROJECT FOR
FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE PROPOSED LOS ANGELES
COUNTY PARK, BEACH AND RECREATION ACT OF 1992

WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Park, Beach and Recreation Act
of 1992 will be brought before the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors in march for placement on the June ballot by the
organization called Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority; and
WHEREAS, this Act would provide approximately eight hundred
forty thousand dollars ($840,000.00) in per capita funds for the City
of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the City would begin a large scale redesign and
redevelopment with these funds so as to not impact the city's general
fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood could also apply for the balance
of funds needed to complete the project in the competing portion of the
Act; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Lynwood would benefit
greatly from this redesign and development; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
resolve as follows:
Section 1. To approve, in concept, the redesign and
redevelopment of Mervyn M. Dymally Park per capita funds if it is passed
on the June 1992 ballot.
Section 2. Authorize the Director of Recreation and Parks to be
the designated contact person for the City of Lynwood.
Section 3. To support the Mountains Recreation and Conservation
Authority in their efforts to place this measure on the June 1992 ballot.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1St day of October ,1991.
