A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE RECREATION AND PARKS
COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATIONS TOWARD OFFERING AN
ART CONTEST FOR A MURAL TO BE PLACED ON THE
INTERIOR NORTH WALL OF THE NATATORIUM
WHEREAS, in August 1991, the City Council approved an
Art Contest for a mural to be placed on the interior north wall of the
Natatorium; and
WHEREAS, the City Council requested that the Recreation and
Parks Commission review this project and make a recommendation to the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council requested that the Recreation and
Parks Commission review this project and make a recommendation to the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, guidelines for a contest were established by the
Recreation and Parks Commission at their August 27, 1991 meeting;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
resolve as follows:
1. Adopt the concept and guidelines of the mural
concept as recommended by the Recreation and
Parks Commission.
2. Authorize payment to be paid to
First Place Winner - $100.00
Second Place Winner - $ 75.00
Third Place Winner - $ 50.00
