A RESOLUTION "OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REJECTING ALL BIDS
AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE THE
THE TWO (2) COMPACT PICKUP TRUCKS
INFORMALLY
WHEREAS, in August 20, 1991 City Council
authorized the establishment of an in -house parking control
' program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood solicited bids for
` the purchase of two (2) compact pickup trucks; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on October 17,
1991; and
WHEREAS, Council directed staff to review the bid
list;
WHEREAS, a 1992 compact pickup truck can be
purchased at a lesser price informally at a $1,907 savings for
two trucks of a similar model as bidded by S & J Chevrolet;
WHEREAS, per Resolution 91 -137, City Council
appropriated $75,370 into the City Manager's budget for the
parking control program of which $22,000 was budgeted for the
purchase of two (2) compact pickup trucks.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council authorizes the
rejection of all bids.
' SECTION 2: That the City Council authorizes to
purchase the vehicles through informal bidding.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of
November 1991
