A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING THE FOUR
YEAR TREE MAINTENANCE PROJECT, AREA 3
(FY 1991 -1992) AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO 'APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR
THE EXTRA WORK
WHEREAS, on March 5, 1991, the City Council approved
the renewal of the Four Year Tree Trimming contact with
California Western Arborists, Inc., for $628,435.00; and
WHEREAS, on July 16, 1991, the City Council approved
the amendment of $464,955.00, to the contract to include the
citywide yearly light trimming; and
WHEREAS, Area 3 is the first of the four areas of the
tree trimming cycle and costs $230,357.00, including $32,280.00
for light trimming and $198,077.00 for full trimming; and
WHEREAS, 29 additional trees were removed at a cost of
$13,100, resulting in a final cost of $243,457.00 for Area 3; and
WHEREAS, City Council on January 7, 1992, approved the
payment for the tree removals; and
WHEREAS, the work in Area 3 (FY 1991 -92) started in
May 1991, and was completed in January 1992; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council accept the tree
trimming in Area 3 of the Four Year Tree Maintenance Project,
FY 1991 -92, as being completed in accordance with contract
documents.
Section 2. That the City Council authorize the City
Manager or his designee to make the following transfer and
appropriation:

Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
