A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE EMERGENCY
WORKS ON WATER WELL NO. 19
WHEREAS, the Department of Water Resources personnel,
while inspecting Well No. 19, inadvertently caused damage to the
well motor; and
WHEREAS, Well No. 19 is vital to the City's water
system operation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water Resources will assume
the responsibility for the damage to the motor and will pay for
their portion of the cost for the motor replacement; and
WHEREAS, the cost for the motor replacement is
approximately $19,000.00, and the City will receive a
reimbursement of approximately $10,000 from the Department of
Water Resources; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Municipal Code, Section
6 -3.13 allows for informal bid for emergency purchases.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order, and resolve as
' follows:
Section 1 . That the City Council of the City of
Lynwood approve the emergency works of Well No. 19, per Section
6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
Section 2 . That the reimburse by the Department of
Water Resources be deposited into Account No. 2- 4445 -4220 of the
Water Division to replenish said account.
Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of
February 1992.
