A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REQUESTING ADDITIONAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
UNDER THE CITY- COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, per Resolution No. 91 -137, City Council
approved the replacement of the present parking control services
being provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
with an in -house parking control program; and

WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's
Department is familiar with the subject of parking control and
with the City's parking problems; and

WHEREAS,
proceed with the training as an additional law w enforcement
service under the existing City- County Law Enforcement Services
Agreement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
Lynwood pursuant to the terms and provisi%)ns of the City - Council
Law Enforcement Services Agreement, Fated June 20, 1987, and
entered into by and between the City of Lynwood and the County of
Los Angeles for general law enforcement services, through the
County Sheriff's department, desires for the City specialized law
enforcement services, said services being in addition to those
heretofore requested by the Law Enforcement Services Agreement.
SECTION 2: Therefore, in addition to the general
le:w enf-..rcement services now being provided to the City of
Lynwood pursuant to the Law Enforcement Services Agreement, the
City Council does hereby request the following additional
services:
Training of the City of Lynwood's Parking Control Officers
SECTION 3: It is hereby request , 3d that the Board
of Supervisors or it's designated agent or agency approve and
authorize the performance of services requested in this
resolution and agreed to by the Sheriff, subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Existing Law Enforcement Services
Agreement dated June 30, 1987.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Clerk of the
Board of Supervisors, to the County Sheriff's Department, and the
Chief Administrative Office of the County of Los Angeles.
