A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE FIRE SNORKEL
THROUGH INFORMAL BIDS BY A 4/5 VOTE

WHEREAS, the refurbishment of the fire Snorkel, Unit 311
was approved by the City Council on May 1, 1990 and is funded by
an ICLFA loan; and
WHEREAS, it will cost approximately $ 128,000 for the
refurbishment of the fire Snorkel; and
WHEREAS, the refurbishment of the snorkel truck is the
final component in satisfying the obligations of the lease
agreement with ICLFA; and
WHEREAS, the use of informal bidding process by
obtaining a 4/5 vote from the City Council is the most
expeditious way of expending the balance of funds provided by the
ICLFA -ELVIS program; and
WHEREAS, it takes a 4/5 vote by Council to allow the
informal bidding process as stipulated on the City of Lynwood
Municipal Code, section 6 -3.13.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the
refurbishment of the fire snorkel through an informal bid by a
4/5 vote.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th of
February , 1992.
