RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING FILING OF GRANT APPLICATION UNDER THE URBAN PARK AND
RECREATION RECOVERY ACT OF 1978.

WHEREAS the Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Act of 1978
established a grant program to assist communities in rehabilitation
of parks and recreation systems; and
WHEREAS the Recreation and Parks Department is desirous of
applying for said competitive grant to be used for a Teen Media
Center; and
WHEREAS the City of Lynwood has been determined eligible to
apply for said funds; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood in the County of Los Angeles, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,
California, that the Director of Recreation and Parks Department is
authorized and directed to file this grant application for fifty
thousand dollars ($50,000) and to provide such additional information
as may be required with respect to the City of Lynwood's
participation in this program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March, 1992.
