A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING ONE ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY TO
UNIFORMED POLICE AND FIRE PERSONNEL DURING THE
1969 CALENDAR YEAR
Section 1. By order of the Governor of the State of
California, miscellaneous employees and non - uniformed police and
fire employees were granted one additional paid holiday in memory
of the death of President Eisenhower on March 31, 1969. It is the
desire of the city to provide an equal benefit to uniformed police
and fire employees.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve
as follows:
Uniformed police and fire employees are hereby authorized
one additional paid holiday over and above that which is provided
in Rule XI, Section 7, of the Lynwood Personnel Rules and Regulations.
Said holiday credit may be applied as additional vacation or a
shortened work week, at the discretion of the department head.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of May 19,69.
