A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING THE WATER SYSTEM MODIFICATION
PROJECT (5- 5061), APPROVING A CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER
FOR EXTRA WORK AND APPROPRIATION OF ADDITIONAL
FUNDS FROM THE WATER FUND TO THE WATER SYSTEM
MODIFICATION PROJECT (5 -5061)
WHEREAS, a utility agreement was signed between the
City and CalTrans to reimburse the City for the replacement cost
of the modification to the Water System in connection_ with the
construction of the I -105 Freeway, and;
WHEREAS, a contract was awarded to the low bidder,
Pascal and Ludwig Engineers for $2,026,429; and
WHEREAS, all work has been completed and accepted; and
WHEREAS, additional costs have been incurred due to
conflicts with existing utilities and the new water installation; and
WHEREAS, a contract change order is needed to cover the
expense of extra work in the amount of $80,000; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are required to cover the
project cost; and
' WHEREAS, additional funds are available in the Water
Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied this appropriation
and its budget implications:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that:
Section 1 . That the City Manager is authorized to make
the following changes to the budget:
FROM TO
Water Fund Unappropriation $80,000 CIP Fund Balance $80,000
CIP Fund Balance $80,000 5 -5061 Water System $80,000
Modification Project
Section 2 . This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
